I am a seasoned Manager leading businesses to desired outcomes! As a Student Services Senior Director and a member of the Directors and Deans team, I have contributed to the strategic direction of the College and to the operational planning of the division. I consider myself to be a critical thinker with a vision and an ability to lead people. I take the time to understand what triggers motivation and dysfunction in team members and challenge myself to be tactical in finding creative opportunities to move the team and the organization forward. I have a sound understanding of budgets, financial realities and internal control measures. The knowledge acquired through my studies in my MBA program and in my work experience, helps me be resilient in all business environments. My economic development and leadership skills have served me well in mentoring for growth in community projects, business development and co-operative ventures! I take pride in engaging staff and stakeholders in order to empower everyone to be creative in their business practices. I am able to keep people accountable while empowering them to be successful. I have developed listening and mediation skills which have given me much success in conflict resolution. I have valuable experience and expertise in the co-operative sector and in Student Life initiatives. I take pride in being approachable by everyone and in creating a safe and productive work environment. I continue to study the various leadership and management models as I am dedicated to life-long learning. My understanding of my constant need to learn and grow as an individual is what makes me efficient at accepting every student, employee and customer where they are in their development and work with them to reach their full potential.
