About Robert Backman

Mr Backman is a Partner and founder of ScandiCapital with more than 30 years experience in the financial industry from both the industry and the banking side of the table. Mr Backman worked 20 years within the ABB Group where he, among other achievements, founded ABB Asset Finance, a group within ABB Financial Services. Mr Backman later joined HSBC Bank, followed by a period with GE Capital. In 2006 Mr Backman joined DNB Bank to develop their structured finance capabilities and headed the global group until 2017. Engineering background gives peer advantage in understanding and exceeding client expectations, not least within the new digital banking arena.
