About Robert Belliveau

I am a former 20-year+ professional firefighter turned eLearning changemaker. I started my company, NeonTrain, one-year post-pandemic. I saw a monumental need to help small and medium businesses get their training online. As a lifelong learner and former training officer, I knew the impact the right kind of online learning could have on organizations and individuals. Fast forward to today, and NeonTrain is changing lives! What motivates me most is witnessing what can happen when you equip and empower people with the right learning tools. The organizations we serve do great things in this world and it is a privilege to continue to help them grow and thrive. As NeonTrain continues to expand, I am lucky enough to be surrounded by an incredible group of highly talented and intelligent people who help support our Learning Providers. My team has jokingly coined the term “Robify’ to explain my never-ending tendency to modify systems or processes to be used in unexpected ways. I love process improvement and I am not afraid to think outside the box to achieve excellence. Outside of work, I am a curler, and I am deeply committed to helping improve gender equality in curling. NeonTrain is a proud annual sponsor of The Stu Sells 1824 Halifax Classic, and with our inaugural sponsorship in 2021, we helped to create pay equity for all prize winners. As President of the Nova Scotia Curling Association, I am also currently collaborating with local schools and Indigenous community leaders to improve access to the sport of curling for Indigenous youth in our province.
