After graduating from the University of Minnesota with a Master’s Degree in Stem Cell Biology, I was a research associate at UCSD for over three years. This role required effective communication and organization to balance my management responsibilities with the conception of my own experiments. Scientifically, I was testing the efficacy of different modifications to natural killer cells for use in cancer therapy. This work was excellent training before my time at FATE Therapeutics where I have fulfilled a similar role; evaluating novel approaches to modulate NK and T cell function in a collaborative environment.
