Background
About Robert Blystone
I have 47 years of college level teaching. Originally my research methodology involved electron microscopy of cells, lung tissue, and retinas. Then my research moved into RF effects on cells and tissues using primarily digital light microscopy and thermography. I have also spent considerable time researching college biology textbooks and how the textbook serves as a cultural history of the discipline. My most recent professional interest involves Global Health. Responding to extreme student interest in the topic, I have been facilitating curricular change incorporating Global Health. Related to this emphasis is how to assist bicultural, bilingual undergraduate students with their entry into science coursework, especially if English is not their initial language.
