WHAT I DO I focus on the preparation, filing and prosecution of patent applications for Canadian and international clients, as well as foreign associates. I also provide intellectual property strategic consulting and portfolio management services for my corporate clients. ABOUT ME I help companies build new business opportunities in Canada using intellectual property. I like conversations with prospective clients that start with “I’m looking for a trusted partner in Canada” and especially enjoy building long term business relationships. I am interested in learning about the technology and commercial aspects of a client’s business in order to take a strategic approach to creating a portfolio of intellectual property assets that creates long term business value. MY PROCESS I interact with clients on two levels: as an expert in patent law and as an engineer with a strong background in commercialization within the manufacturing, chemistry and life sciences fields. I meet new clients through LinkedIn and follow-up with email and telephone interactions to learn more about that client’s specific needs. Once we begin to work together, I communicate regularly to keep clients up to date on the progress of their intellectual property portfolio.
