About Robert Buker

Rob has over 44 years of experience as a Chartered Accountant, with extensive experience delivering internal and external audit, accounting services, corporate governance, project management, as well as providing financial and management consulting. Rob’s extensive experience includes both the public and private sectors in local, national and international markets. Rob was the former Managing and Audit Partner of Acumen Alliance in Canberra, Audit Partner of WHK Group (now Crowe Horwath), Director of Audit for Vincents Chartered Accountants and most recently as Chief Financial Officer of Careflight Group Queensland. Rob has extensive direct experience working with all levels of government covering Commonwealth, State and Local over the past 26 years. Rob has managed many audits and consultancies over six years on behalf of the Queensland Auditor-General, this giving him extensive experience into the workings and legislative requirements of Queensland State Agencies. Rob is a current Board Member, Chair of the Audit & Risk Sub-committee and a Member of the Finance & Performance Sub-committee at the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service. Rob has held numerous other Board positions including at The Pacific Film and Television Commission (QLD); Careflifght (QLD) Limited; Director and Chair with The Institute of Chartered Accountants (ACT Division) and Independent Director of ACT Rugby (The Brumbies).
