About Robert Burke

Robert is passionate about American national security interests within the Indo-Pacific. He is currently enrolled in a Masters for Defense and Strategic Studies and a Graduate Fellowship for the Missile Defense Advocacy Alliance. Robert's course work focuses on the national security decision-making of the People's Republic of China and its evolving military capabilities, American national security policy mechanisms, and American naval operations within the Western Pacific. His fellowship at the Missile Defense Advocacy Alliance emphasizes collaborating with coworkers on advocacy alerts that champion new ways to develop, test, and field American missile defense capabilities. His other duties include monitoring Chinese military activities around the island of Taiwan, Russian missile strikes in Ukraine, and maintaining a general understanding of the military activities of the United States and allies in the Asia-Pacific region. After Robert graduates with his Masters, he aspires to enter the national security field with a focus on wargaming and force planning for Indo-Pacific Command's operating area in order to assist the United States in navigating this new century of interstate strategic competition with the People's Republic of China.
