Bob Bush is a recognized education-market leader and innovator who has enjoyed a successful career in two intersecting worlds: facilities and technology. He blends this experience to bring increasing intelligence into our physical surroundings to enhance opportunity and improve lives. Facilities: Bob has focused on human interaction with our surroundings throughout his career. He has taken a deep dive into design & construction, infrastructure, energy, communications, technology, public finance, and public-private partnerships. Bob provided executive leadership on programs with an aggregate value of nearly $2 billion. He led business acquisition and planning teams and has managed mobilization, cost & document controls, and construction. Bob is a published author of both scientific and popular articles, including “The Lab of the Future” (Facilities Manager, V 24,#1). Technology: As a degreed neuroscientist specialized in perception and psychophysics, Bob worked in artificial intelligence, natural language translation, contextual analysis, and learning systems. Bob held a Top-Secret security clearance and is well versed in safety and security needs of campus environments. In addition to many educational institutions, Bob’s clients have included the State of Florida, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the African Development Bank, the Department of the Army, and LexisNexis. Bob published InterActive Teacher magazine in print and on-line to help teachers integrate computers into the classroom. Bob advocates an understanding of buildings less in actuarial and more in organic terms. He asserts that, maintaining a focus on lifecycle, buildings will be more efficient, much less costly, and have much longer and purposeful lives.
