About Robert Chapman

In my current role I primarily oversea and and manage various projects within Essex Police. My role is varied in that I work across several projects at anyone time and ensure that projects are successful and are delivered on time. I am a natural problem solver and look to improve functionality across a broad range of areas. I understand the importance of research and use this to inform decision making.I am a reliable, hardworking, experienced decision maker with several years experience in the public sector conducting research on people, crime, services and data. During my time at Essex Police I have refined my techniques to be able to decipher what information is important, relevant and what is not. I am able to collate and analyse data and use this to make judgements and recommendations. I am a confident and adaptable people person, with a vast experience of dealing with members of the public as well as varying levels of management within the organisation. I am used to presenting to large groups of people and delivering training to groups and individuals. I have been involved in many projects, and also the development and implementation of new processes.As an adaptable employee I work great in a team and continually provide support and motivation to colleagues. Working in the public sector can be difficult as budgets are tight and there are challenges each department has to face. I remain a positive influence to my team and make them feel valued even when moral is low.My experience has also meant that I am good at working independently. I monitor organisational performance and produce reports presenting these results. I am able to interpret data and recommend areas for improvement and also provide positive feedback. I am able to balance projects along side day to day tasks. I have excellent communication skills both written and spoken and experience of working with various levels within the organisation.
