About Robert Dator
After a 35 year career in Film, Television, and Stage, I graduated with honors from Guilford College, class of 2010, with a BA in English and Philosophy. I have since completed Graduate School at UNCG, class of 2014, with a Masters Degree in Arts and Liberal Studies (MALS). My original thesis was to have been an emphasis on Film and Film Studies as to themes of social alienation in post-war America, but instead, History, Philosophy and Global Studies won the day and the concentration. I have recently accepted a position as Adjunct Professor of Humanities at Greensboro Technical Community College, Jamestown, North Carolina, teaching Critical Thinking. I remain passionate and excited about continuing to teach American Literature (The Emerging American Self); Film 101 (Film Literacy); Advanced Film Studies; Introduction to Philosophy and Rhetoric.
