About Robert Deane

I'm an industrial designer with a background in sculpture and manufacturing. I have a passion for the everyday, foundational objects that surround us. Since graduating with my MFA from Rochester Institute of Technology, I've been working in the furniture industry, designing a variety of both in-house products and custom product solutions for business and residential clients and working with manufacturing to produce the designs. In this role, my responsibilities ranged the entire span of the design process, from concepting and initial development to client communications to preparing designs for manufacturing and seeing the final product out the door. As I approach the next steps of my career, I hope to use my knowledge and skills in functional design, aesthetics, and manufacturing to bring thorough, thoughtful design to the world and improve lives through everyday objects.
