Emergency Communications Specialist with broad experience in dealing with callers in crisis, dispatching appropriate Police/Fire/EMS resources to requests for service, and providing life-saving medical instruction to callers in need of assistance. Experienced Quality-Assurance and training professional with knowledge and ability to develop and implement training programs and policies & procedures. Interested in moving into supervision/management of Emergency Services 911 dispatch centers. Since 1996, I have received training which has helped me to become a successful Emergency Communications Specialist. Through Training and on-the-job experience I have learned to deal with callers in crisis, dispatching appropriate Police/Fire/EMS resources to assist these callers. On numerous occasions I have been called upon to provide life saving medical instructions to the callers in need of such assistance. As the only certified Quality Assurance employee of the Westchester County, NY Department of Emergency Services, I was asked to develop training programs, policies and procedures. Once these were completed it was my responsibility to ensure the proper training for employees and emergency services workers, to ensure that the proper procedures and policies were adhered to.
