About Robert Dorso

As Manager, Policy, Compliance & Audit, Robert is responsble for providing supply management policy guidance to postal purchasing professionals, the development of purchasing policy changes, ensuring compliance with policy, interfacing with the USPS Office of Inspector General on audits and audit responses, and coordinating Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests. He has a proven track record of results oriented leadership, sound business judgment, team building, and overall supply management experience. He has served as a contracting officer and team leader purchasing a broad spectrum of supplies, services, and equipment. Robert is experienced in managing supplier source selection, negotiating complex agreements, contract award, multi-year contract administration activities, and supplier relationship management. He has an excellent understanding of how supply chain management principles and techniques can be integrated cross-functionally and with suppliers to achieve elevated operational efficiency and significant cost reduction results. He graduated from the Postal Service’s Advanced Leadership Program in November 2004. He is a member of the Institute of Supply Management and has served on the board of directors of two ISM local affiliates.
