About Robert Dreer

I am a seasoned aviation professional with a diverse background in flight training, unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) operations, and aviation management. Currently serving as the Senior Manager of Flight Training at Pivotal, I lead and define our training strategies to ensure the highest standards of instruction and safety. My career journey includes four years at Amazon, where I held various leadership roles. As the Head of Flight Test Operations, I managed critical flight test operations for Amazon Prime Air. I also served as the Senior Manager of Training, responsible for Amazon Prime Air's flight training program. My leadership encompassed instructional program management, curriculum development, and training technology development. Before joining Amazon, I contributed to Insitu Inc. for nearly two years as an Instructional Lead for ScanEagle, Integrator, and Blackjack initial qualification courses. I was honored with the "Instructor of the Year" award in 2018 for my contributions. My passion for aviation and dedication to excellence extend beyond my professional career. As the Managing Member of Cherry Capital Drones, I managed day-to-day business activities and provided consulting services under the supervison of a licensed attorney to start-up companies in the UAS industry. Education-wise, I pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Aviation Management at Davenport University. I also hold an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) in Aviation from Northwestern Michigan College. Throughout my journey, I've been an advocate for the UAS industry and have actively participated in community outreach programs and humanitarian efforts. I've had the privilege of speaking at industry conferences and contributing to publications related to the field. With a strong commitment to safety, innovation, and education, I continue to push the boundaries of aviation and UAS technology. I look forward to connecting with fellow professionals and contributing to the ever-evolving aviation landscape.
