Currently, I serve as Director of Finance Operations & Controlling at Snoonu (Doha), one of the fastest-growing tech companies in the GCC. I lead a 17-member finance team with 5 direct reports, overseeing accounting, reporting, treasury, and merchant settlements. My responsibilities include month-end close, IFRS-compliant reporting to a listed Group in KSA, end-to-end liquidity management, and finance operations. I am driving AI-powered automation across finance, strengthening scalability and accuracy, while managing banking and government relationships to support liquidity planning, credit facilities, and strategic financing. I played a key role in financial, tax, and legal due diligence for one of the GCC’s largest tech acquisitions led by Jahez Group. Previously, as Head of Group Accounting at ShowHeroes SE (Berlin), a leading international AdTech scale-up, I implemented the first IFRS group accounts audited by a Big 4 firm, transitioned 22 entities to a single ERP system, and supported IPO readiness and due diligence processes with a large US AdTech Group. My earlier career in New Zealand included senior risk leadership roles at ASB Bank (CBA subsidiary) and Bank of New Zealand (NAB subsidiary), where I managed operational and compliance risk across people and finance divisions, delivering assurance on financial reporting, treasury, and compliance with privacy, conduct, AML, and financial advice regulations. I began my career in professional services with KPMG and EY in Germany and New Zealand, progressing to Audit Manager. I led audit engagements for listed and private clients across industries including financial services, real estate, FMCG, manufacturing, retail, and technology.
