A technology and business consulting executive with extensive data center operations management, Operations Resilience, and business continuity planning experience across a broad cross-section of industries serving a global client base. Experience has encompassed: data center operations management; interim CIO (multiple clients); data center operations design, implementation and management; business continuity / disaster recovery planning (BC/DRP); Operations Resilience; hot-site and alternative recovery site design, selection and implementation; data center design and build; data center consolidation and migration; IT strategic planning; IT skills identification, quantification and management; IT environment assessment and enhancement; Software Defined Data Center (SDDC) design, management and recovery; NIST, NERC-CIP and C2M2 assessment and remediation projects. Experience has been gained in the energy (oil and gas), banking and financial services, manufacturing, public sector, utilities, consumer products, health care, professional services, retail and telecommunications industries on an international basis. In his consulting capacity, Bob has: led more than 130 BC/DRP and Operations Resilience projects; served as an interim CIO or Director of Operations for five IT organizations within publicly / privately held companies and public sector agencies; performed six (6) data center consolidation and/or relocation projects; and performed more than 30 data center assessment and enhancement projects. He has published numerous articles and book chapters covering disaster recovery planning and data center management concepts and research for multiple professional journals and periodicals, and is a frequent speaker at national and international business continuity and IT management conferences. He currently holds the COAP, CBCP, CBCV, AFBCI and certifications.
