I have 20 years experience in biotechnology, in academics and industry, where I have played a pivotal role in pre-clinical development of cell-based, small-molecule, and peptide drug therapeutics as well as regenerative medicine tissue/organ generation. I am driven to remain at the cutting edge of science, technology and health care, and I have a proven track record of successfully designing novel, creative approaches to determine the role played by specific biological phenomena in disease states or towards the goal of tissue engineering and organ regeneration. I have had a non-traditional career path in the biosciences as I spent more than a decade in the hospitality industry and earned a B.S. in Business Administration before I switched my career focus to science.
