As a graduate from San Joaquin Valley College, where I obtained my Associates Degree in respiratory therapy, I am eager and highly motivated to become part of a team that strives to provide quality healthcare for the community they serve. I have acquired a reputation as an exceptionally hard worker and an individual who is eager to learn every aspect of the job at hand. My work ethic and experience is validated by over 20 years as a Medic first responder in the United States Army, to include three (3) tours to Iraq; my GPA of 3.25; the nomination from instructors to the Lambda Beta Society, various academic achievement awards and over 900 clinical hours of hands on experience within a respiratory therapist position. During my clinical rotations, I worked closely with my preceptors who have given me the confidence and skills to effectively assess patients, provide necessary treatment and effectively communicate with the healthcare team.
