About Robert Francki

Robert has been a member of Hatch's Board of Directors since 2005. He has served in a number of leadership positions including leadership of the Furnace Technologies group and the Light Metals business unit. During an eight-year period in South Africa, he led the regional Non Ferrous business unit before being appointed Regional Managing Director for Hatch Africa. Robert also served as Technical Manager for the Koniambo Ferronickel Project. Following his return to Canada again, he assumed his current role of Global Managing Director, Project Delivery Group (PDG) in 2009. An author and co-author of several technical papers, Robert’s on-the-job experience includes substantial work with mechanical design, furnace and smelter equipment and systems, project engineering, project and program management, construction management, commissioning and start-ups. He also has extensive experience developing quality systems and leadership approaches to developing international teams—both on a project basis and with new or growing operations. In his current role, Robert drives innovation, differentiated engineering skills and effective project execution approaches into the Project Delivery Group across the company. This includes seeking challenging engineering problems faced by our clients while developing strategic partnerships with technical organizations.
