About Robert Frier

With a Juris Doctor degree from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and over six years of experience as a Senior Compliance Manager at M&T Bank, I have developed and demonstrated expertise in regulatory and compliance matters for global capital markets. I have also earned recognition and promotion for my contributions and leadership in this field. In my current role, I manage staff in the US and overseas, provide guidance on US and international regulations, assess and mitigate risks, review and implement policies and procedures, and collaborate with various stakeholders, including legal, risk, AML-BSA, and business colleagues. I have also been actively involved in compliance review of emerging and complex issues, such as the cessation and replacement of LIBOR with alternative interest rates, Regulations AB, R and Regulation 9. Additionally, I participate in meetings with regulators, industry groups, and other subject matter experts, and chair or lead several bank committees. I am driven by the values of integrity, professionalism, and excellence, and I strive to support the bank's vision and goals.
