About Robert Garofalo

Dr. Robert Garofalo graduated with clinic honours as a Doctor of Chiropractic at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and has an Honours degree in Kinesiology from York University. Dr. Garofalo is a certified Active Release Technique® provider, a certified Medical Acupuncture provider, a certified Functional Range Release provider, and a certified Personal Trainer. During his final year at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, Dr. Garofalo was the on-site athletic therapist for the Markham Waxers Junior “A” hockey club. Dr. Garofalo has always been involved in a variety of sports which fuels his passion for treating athletic-related injuries. In addition, Dr. Garofalo is a part-time professor at Seneca College for the Anatomy and Physiology course in the Continuing Education, Practical Nursing program. Dr. Garofalo specializes in the human neuromusculoskeletal system. He has a special interest and extensive training in the diagnosis and treatment of sport and athletic related soft tissue (muscles, tendons and ligaments), nerve, and joint-related injuries in patients of all ages and performance levels. His most recent training consisted of him being selectively chosen to participate in the “Advanced Assessment and Treatment of NHL Players” continuing education course. Dr. Garofalo worked alongside the leading practitioners of his profession while treating top NHL athletes and now uses what he has gained from this course into his everyday practice. Dr. Garofalo continues to strive for excellence by constantly remaining up-to-date on evidence-based research through reading journal articles and various texts. Also, participating in post-graduate studies such as soft tissue techniques, orthopaedics, rehabilitation, and sport-specific training ensures that Dr. Garofalo continues to provide the upmost care and service to his patients.
