About Robert Geise

I fall in love just a little ol' little bit every day with someone new." That's the chorus of the Hozier song "Someone New," and it describes me to a T. Every day, I look forward to meeting new people, getting to know something about them, and loving what is good about them. It's quite "hippy dippy," I'm sure, but I refuse to focus on the negative in such a negative world. As a Community Health Worker at South Jersey AIDS Alliance in Atlantic City, I had opportunity to bring out the good in so many people who have known such strife and stress for much of their lives. My client base consisted of PLWH (people living with HIV/AIDS) and PWID (people who inject drugs), as well as the local homeless population. The lion's share of my work was interventions, both one-on-one and group; syringe access, including risk reduction and education; linkage to care within the agency (case management, HIV and other testing) and outside (drug treatment, public assistance, women's services). It was the most satisfying work I could have hoped for. But things happen, and life happened to bring me to Florida where have yet to find a similar niche. I still love "to people" and have the customer service and management history to back up my position with any professional business. You can't lose!
