About Robert Giannini

I have over 30 years of experience in health care. I joined the ECRI PSO team in April 2012. Prior to joining ECRI, I have held roles as a Patient Safety Officer, Patient Safety/Quality Specialist and Nursing Home Administrator at a variety of facilities. I have had responsibility for providing patient safety and quality improvement leadership for medication safety initiatives, conducting proactive and reactive risk analysis, management of continuous improvement teams and Team STEPPS facilitation. Areas of expertise include: healthcare administration, patient safety, quality and risk management, performance improvement, regulatory affairs and accreditation, health information technology, medication safety and service line development. I have lectured for professional organizations and alliances, as well as manufacturers.
