About Robert Greathouse

I spent ten years from the mid-90s to the as a Graphic Web & Interface Designer. I was the primary designer for a Chicago-based Interactive Computer Based Training which then merged into a video production company to expand the CBT to using video training along with interactive computer tasks. The clients included Montgomery Wards, Service Merchandise & Grainger. I also worked on many freelance projects for a Music studio, the Dept. of Education, and ended with a position as a Senior Web Designer for MatchLogic/Excite@Home in Colorado before the Internet bubble burst. I returned to college to obtain my degree as a Software Engineer and since 2006, I have been working primarily as a Java Developer, but, I believe in knowing as much as I can about every programming language. I currently manage various Java applications running in Docker containers, A React/NodeJS project, and various PHP & PERL scripts. I have worked with various CI applications including Hudson, Jenkins, and ADO. I have been certified as a Linux Administrator and am familiar with most virtualization concepts. Outside of work, I am writing computer games using various languages including C#. And, I am an Adobe PhotoShop and Illustrator expert, and I classify myself as a "Production Artist" as I am well versed in creating art specifically for game, presentation, and application interfaces.
