About Robert Grimm

As Director of Delivery at BIG - Bjarke Ingels Group in Copenhagen, I lead the global execution of complex architectural and infrastructure projects. My work spans resource strategy, quality assurance, and delivery leadership, ensuring operational excellence across a portfolio of high-stakes developments in Europe, the Middle East, and India. In parallel, I serve as Operational Manager of BIG’s Design Technology department, overseeing BIM, visualisation, computational design, model fabrication, and AI integration. I align teams, tools, and processes to drive digital innovation across the firm’s international projects. Since joining BIG in 2017, I have led delivery efforts for large-scale projects such as PARC at Sorbonne University, the Sierra and XWork office complexes in Paris, and the GA Terminal in India. I have also played a key role in defining BIG’s QA/QC systems, Delivery Manual, and resource planning strategies used across five global offices. Prior to BIG, I managed award-winning civic and infrastructure projects at Mikou Studio, Dietmar Feichtinger Architectes and MVRDV, including the Ostend Transport Hub, Simone Veil High School, and the Kibitzenau swimming pool in Strasbourg. Educated at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar with an exchange semester at Oxford Brookes University, I bring 15+ years of experience delivering high-impact projects through strategic leadership, stakeholder alignment, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. My passion lies in bridging design, technology, and delivery to create sustainable, future-ready environments.
