ROBERT GUFLER is a competent category ‘A’ Engineer, originally from Munich in Germany, who has worked across architectural, engineering re-construction and new-build projects. He has a many years international construction experience, served an architectural and building design apprenticeship, before achieving his Dipl-Ing qualification in 2001 in Munich / Germany. Born in Munich, brought up in South Africa, Robert has worked in Europe, South Asia and the Middle East across a huge range of schemes. These range from Burj Al Arab & Bab Al Shams renovations, Omniyat high profile tower in Dubai, banking & insurance headquarters and restaurants in Bahrain, hospitality project in Abu Dhabi for Crown Prince Court, to tsunami reconstruction community buildings, renewable energy and hydropower plants in Sri Lanka, to commercial, healthcare and residential projects across Germany. Robert’s work has always been based on the engineering aspects of design, however his early years as an Architectural Draughtsman gave him invaluable expertise in developing strong design and technical skills. He is a expert manager of technical consultants, knows how to test materials, procure packages of work, manage design and site teams, analyze bids and tenders, manage contractual and commercial terms, has comprehensive knowledge of FIDIC Conditions of Contract and overall project management till delivery. Robert has experience with high profile developers and renowned international Consultancy firms.
