About Robert Herzig

Since my first course on the topic at university, I've had a great interest in deep learning, computer vision, and generative algorithms. In the last semester of my Bachelor's, this was further deepened by a practical course for image restoration using the earliest GAN type algorithms and my Bachelor's thesis dealing with reinforcement learning in 3d simulations. My whole Master's degree was a pursuit of the skills necessary to professionally work in that field which, in the end, led me to a thesis in cooperation with the MPI/IS in Tuebingen, about depth from mono algorithms - the creation of 3d approximations from single image camera data. At the same time, I gathered experience in different areas that benefitted from these skills. First, in a med-tech startup, and since 2019 in the field of autonomous driving. Here, I've already been presented with lots of interesting problems, great teams, and I'm hoping for much more to come.
