I have just begun my journey transitioning into a new role in Tech after successfully applying for the Academy, a programme run in partnership with my employer, Aldermore Bank. I have long been interested in getting into a more tech-based role, and am excited at this opportunity to study again, after which I will be starting a new role as a software engineer. I had previously spent the last five years working my way up to being a Specialist Buy-to-Let Underwriter after taking my first role in finance as a Mortgage Processor in 2018. Prior to that, I had spent six years teaching English as a Foreign Language, getting to experience life in different countries varied from Colombia to Germany. Throughout my professional career, I have particularly enjoyed developing my problem-solving, risk analysis, and communication skills in two different fields.
