About Robert Hogg

I am formally an Assistant Driller, working at Valaris (Ensco) of which I have had continuous and good employment record for the last Ninteen years. To give you a bit of background on my career, I started as an roustabout on the E101 where I have worked as a Roughneck, Derrickman and concurrently in the Assistant Drillers position in which I have gained experience in exploration, workover and HPHT drilling. My duties and responsibilities included ensuring preventative maintenance routines are up to date, pressure testing and servicing of drilling equipment including NXT BOP, 1625 UDBE draw-works operating and servicing of NOV PRS 4i pipe racking system. On a daily basis I liaised with deck crew maintenance department and 3rd party contractors to ensure smooth running of drill floor operations. As a Derrickman I worked with National 14p220 mud pumps, management of 11 pits and experience working a manual derrick on the E85. In my time with Valaris (Ensco) I have gained valuable experience in the offshore industry and learned many new skills. I have had the pleasure to work for several different clients on varied and challenging projects. This has undoubtedly helped me to develop my communication skills and my positive and cheerful approach even when working under pressure. Although I have gained several years experience in the offshore industry I am still eager to learn and would like the opportunity to further my career. I am trustworthy self motivated and a hard working person who can work well either individually or with others.
