Background

About Robert Howsley

I have over 14 years experience as a frontline Police Officer for Derbyshire Constabulary and was awarded a First Class Degree in Criminology in 2019. I joined Derbyshire Constabulary as a Business Change Officer in 2019 and have supported many projects since then, such as the force Office 365 rollout, Power BI rollout and training, acting Project Manager for Derbyshire Constabulary's response Sergeants review, and the forces highly successful Digital Evidence Management System rollout, amongst other projects. In this role, I have conducted several primary research projects, business benefits projects and also supported and lead on many business changes across the force. I have a personal interest in the ways the police service may be improved through innovation and cultural change to allow an improved service for all stakeholders, along with the realisation of business benefits. I am also experienced in how various crime prevention strategies can help reduce crime and promote safer communities. I have a background in retail where I gained my experience as a departmental head. This role allowed me to develop strong customer service skills, along with other associated skills such as teamwork, leadership, innovation and loss prevention techniques. I have experience as an independent consultant for several businesses across Derbyshire offering crime prevention advice and support.
