My career is built from 24+ years’ experience at CGI, CP Rail and Nortel Networks in areas of Telecom / IT Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, Contract / Vendor Management and Asset Management. My decisions are based not only on the best available information at that time, but also contain a holistic element; decisions are based on what’s best for the company. 2022 I started my current position as a team-leader to a group of Senior Consultants within CGI, an awesome experience I have loved. HIGHLIGHTS -Developed strong partnerships with key vendors by finding innovative means for vendors to meet CGI’s requirements while offering and enhancing the services already provided-2 decades in roles relating to Category Manager, Sourcing Specialist, and Procurement-Well respected amongst vendors and known for stewarding tightly controlled RFX’s and negotiating win-win contracts-Implemented CP’s IT Asset Management Lifecycle Replacement Program allowing the proactive replacement of aged Network equipment with 100% current technology. An experienced Senior Consultant at CGI and a career spanning the British Forces, Nortel Networks, CP Rail and CGI. Holding numerous positions relating to Supply Chain Management, my roles have included: team lead, vendor manager, global inventory manager, forecasting and planning specialist, procurement and strategic sourcing specialist, category management, and asset manager. A reputation for solid decision making based on current information with a holistic element and company interests taken into consideration. Years of hands-on vendor management experience honed his skills of building win-win relationships and extracting maximum value from multi-million dollar contracts. A career made-up working with suppliers and closing the right contracts. Well respected through-out the IT vendor community. Having found running in 2020, I have an athlete mindset (over 150 half marathons’ in under five years) and have been sharing my love of mental and physical health within CGI as somebody who strives for a more climate friendly Earth. A strong interest in taking on responsibilities related to the climate and what we can each do to help with emissions reductions. My win-win attitude looks to find common ground with Vendors and feels understanding alternative positions a key learning to reaching the desired outcomes.
