About Robert Hummel

Software/firmware engineer experienced in advanced product development of a wide variety of embedded systems for both commercial and government customers. Development activities have targeted a wide span of capabilities from high-level applications to low-level device drivers. Thoroughly-analyzed, well-encapsulated designs are implemented to fit within time and space constraints and achieve high reliability. Development activities have included close working relationships with Systems, System Test, RF, and Digital Engineering to provide total solutions. Engineering activities include: Project Engineer, Software Lead, and technical contributor on teams of 1-8 engineers, requirements analysis, design, code, unit test, software and system integration, review of designs and code, review hardware designs, and interface with associated engineering disciplines (Systems, RF, Electrical, Integration and Test). Engineering duties include interfacing with external customers for project milestone meetings, status meetings, Technical Exchange meetings, and Acceptance Tests. Associated project management duties include project cost and schedule estimation, planning, and tracking. Business development activities include customer interfacing, development of Statements of Work, and proposal writing.
