I have been an Engineer at the City of West Allis for nearly twenty years. I started as a design engineer - working on storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water main, and paving design. I would then go out in the field at watch those designs being built, learning the "tricks of the trade" in the field. Eventually, I helped train other designers and inspectors. I then became the Principal Engineer in charge of Field Services for the last five years. This position allowed me to schedule and supervise our Field Staff. In the summer of 2022, I became the Interim City Engineer. I corroborate daily with Elected Officials, contractors, residents and other employees.
