PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY: M&T Bank – Senior SBA Loan Officer As a Business and Commercial Banker, Bob has a proven history of success in leadership, lending, strategy, team management, and SBA financing. Serving in a National Division, Commercial Banking Group and Business Banking capacity, his positions included Group Vice President, Senior Managing Director, Area Manager, Team Leader, and Director of Professional Banking. Bob was a Credit Committee Member responsible for loan approvals, structuring, insuring adherence to commercial bank standards and evaluating product eligibility. Bob has worked with small business owners and professionals throughout his career. Managing SBA Loans and attorney escrow accounts have been major contributors to his success. Leadership responsibilities included achieving goals, improving business performance and overall revenue growth. While at Citibank, he led Area Managers and earned multiple Citi Star awards given to the top 10% nationally for their performance. Knowledge working with the SBA and his banking background led Bob to assume the role as a Capital Access Business Advisor with the CT Small Business Development Center (CTSBDC). Responsibilities there included advising and counseling clients regarding Forgiveness and Economic Injury Disaster (EIDL) Loans. As a banker, he was able to bridge the gap between the client and the SBA to secure financing for clients. During COVID, he counseled 127 clients and was responsible for supporting 655 jobs in the state. His education includes a Master of Science Degree in Finance and Banking from Adelphi University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The Ohio State University. Bob is a graduate of a Formal Commercial Credit Training Program and the Citibank Leadership Program. While serving in the military, he earned the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, is a Veteran and graduated from several of their schools.
