I have several years of experience in developing web apps for fantastic companies. I love the challenge of automating processes that save Users time & energy. As a Principal Software Engineer at Zonos, I develop AI-Agent-first workflows with a focus on validation testing, linting, and type systems to enhance developer productivity. I've contributed to several strategic initiatives, including being part of the architectural team that transformed our flagship international checkout product from Angular 1 to Stencil & Next.js, automating multilingual content generation with cost-optimized AI solutions, and contributing frontend expertise to a massive three-year cross-functional effort involving 30 engineers to migrate from REST to GraphQL. I'm passionate about creating systems that empower both technical and non-technical team members. One example is the MDX-Gatsby documentation platform I engineered, which allows content creators to focus solely on writing while comprehensive automated validation ensures quality and consistency. My custom CI workflows have significantly increased deployment confidence and reduced time-to-production across our projects. Previously at Smartcare, I built an audiology platform with React-Redux, focusing on accounting systems and integrated insurance billing. I'm an advocate for modern development practices including TypeScript, comprehensive testing, and automated quality assurance. When I'm not coding, I enjoy spending time biking and hiking with my family in the beautiful trails around St. George, Utah to clear my mind and stay focused.
