The real job of a leader is not being in charge, it’s about taking care of those in our charge” Simon Sinek With over sixteen years of experience in a career built around public service, I have been leading design efforts that meet the needs of our communities and the environment. I believe in working effectually with clients, company team members, and community stakeholders to create solutions that work quickly and systemically. My professional experience is grounded in four additional years in design/build companies which enable me to provide results that are balanced, refined, and constructible. I am always inspired to learn from the environment and communities around as well as share what I learn through mentoring and teach-ins. As the Advancement Chair for a local Boy Scout Troop, I am invested in supporting our future young leaders. I track scouts progress through their scouting career, provide counsel to scouts and their families, and distribute awards earned during awards ceremonies. I'm an acting liaison between troop's records and the national council while leading an effort to move the entire troop to a new software management system. This role has helped strengthen my communication skills and further attain a higher level of patients and flexibility while instilling the importance of community service within my own family.
