About Robert Jurao

I am a Nurse Consultant with over two decades of experience in coordinating clinical trials, covering both methodology and management. I have formal training, including the FDA Clinical Investigator Training Course, and have led research teams in major NIH Clinical Trials contracts.I have successfully led clinical trials teams for Phase I development of new antimicrobials and Phase II and studies for STD Clinical Trials, anti-infectives, and biologicals. This includes completing four NIH-funded Phase I trials and numerous commercial Phase II and studies. My responsibilities have included providing clinical expertise in trial design, input during trial development and execution, and conducting on-site training.Additionally, I have developed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Manuals of Procedures (MOPs) for single and multi-site protocols, and I have significant experience collaborating with sponsors, site monitors, and auditors. My administrative skills include developing and negotiating site budgets and engaging site leadership to secure necessary clinical, laboratory, and informatics resources. My background in Pediatric Oncology Nursing has prepared me to perform effectively in high-pressure environments, ensuring patient safety and strict compliance with IRB, FDA, and GCP guidelines.
