About Robert-Juss Soe

Passionate about motorsport and vehicle dynamics, I specialize in tyres, kinematics, driver-in-the-loop and data acquisition. I've been a part of a WRC2 and karting team as a race engineer, fine-tuning chassis and developing drivers to gain an edge in competition. Driver development includes mental and physical training, track walks, racing theory, thorough data and video analysis etc. During my time with FS Team Tallinn, I've built up tyre knowledge from scratch, starting with the underlying physics and culminating in a self-made tire model used in control systems. Found a better tyre for the car and FS tracks and designed the kinematics around it. Using Vi-Grade built our first driver-in-the-loop simulator to further understand compromises between aerodynamics, kinematics and control systems. Also used it for driver and car development. Used extensive data analysis to make data-driven development on the car. Experience in engineering mechanical parts, which includes CAD, FEM, production and validation. I'm also skilled in 3- and 5-axis milling, achieving second place two times and winning once in the international MFG 5-axis milling competition.
