About Robert Kovacs

I am a Business & Technical Projects manager. Ultimately my work is all about providing solutions to problems faced by organisations today. As a result of the solutions that I provide, process efficiency is improved and employee work experience, motivation and sense of fulfilment are increased. Consequently all of these combine to enhance the organisation’s performance. I have experience in multiple business domains: • Life insurance & Pensions • Retail banking • Investment banking • Clearing & settlement • OPC Price Information collection and diffusion • Building Infrastructure Management • I am pragmatic and flexible and use whichever tools are available and appropriate for the required solution. For me the requirement drives the technical solution and not the other way around. • I am a Certified Professional Scrum Master (since 2013) and a Java Certified Programmer (since 2001). I use Agile project management based upon the Scrum methodology. • I develop using Java 1.6, 1.7 & 1.8 SE, Swing, SWT, Java FX 2, Hibernate 4, Vaadin 6, Struts 2, Tomcat 6 and I have used Eclipse, Netbeans, IntelliJ IDEs. • I have designed and implemented databases using Oracle 9, 10, 11 and have implemented business logic in relevant places using PL-SQL. • I have provided management and operational reports using Business Objects XI Designer and Web Intelligence. • I use the standard Microsoft Office tools for the standard tasks MS Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. • I am fluent in English (mother tongue) and French and have been working in multi-national environments since 1993.
