About Robert Lambert

Currently I am an Operational Meteorologist for Environment and Climate Change Canada, what made me want to become a meteorologist is my passion for using science and communication to raise awareness to the public about the impact weather can have. To reduce significant damage in our communities and improve the role of the meteorologist as a whole for future generations. I hold a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Applied Mathematics and Physics and a graduate diploma in Meteorology (DMET). I am also a member of the Canadian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society (CMOS - SCMO). I provide information surrounding; weather forecasts, warnings, and other environmental hazards. I have achieved many accomplishments like completing the Meteorologist Operational Internship Program (MOIP) and have completed many courses related to Forecasting and Communication. Along with this experience, I am working on many projects like creating an open-source database of Canadian Impacts for tropical and post-tropical storms.
