I am currently employed by Matrix Service and work as a Training Coordinator at the BP Cherry Point Refinery. Management support for the safe work produced at this location is superb. I have been allowed the opportunity to have held many positions with an emphasis on safe Construction, Industrial Maintenance, and Field Safety within the company to date. I believe that being well-rounded in multiple crafts and a dedication to working safely has sculpted me into an asset in the Safety Team for Matrix Service. As a Safety team member I have traveled to the North Slope for two outages at the Prudhoe Bay Facility, South to California for an outage at the Tesoro Wilmington Facility, and to the Ferndale Phillips Refinery in Ferndale, WA. I am maintaining the continuation of safety education to be of further value to the Corporation. • Being an information resource to both the field operations and management as needed to assure safe and incident free work environment. • Assist with ongoing safety audits for T/A Maintenance, Capital Projects, New Construction, Regularly Scheduled Maintenance of facility equipment, and any Break-in Work as it arises. • Provide safety training for injury prevention, education for new hires, and refresher training for annual re-certification of long term employee's. • Conduct or participate in incident and accident investigations as needed to establish facts for review, make suggestions for corrective actions as needed to prevent further occurrences. • Prepare or assist in the preparation of Safety Meetings and awareness of new issues. • Forward Client safety issues and upsets to all disciplines for review and awareness of current Items. • Ongoing support of Environmental, Health and Safety of Matrix Service employees and subcontractors ensuring all Matrix Service Company, OSHA and client policies and regulations are being followed.
