About Robert Long

With over eight years of work experience in various sectors, I have developed core competencies in operations management, patient care management, and new business development. My mission is to deliver excellent service and quality to customers, clients, and stakeholders, while ensuring efficiency, compliance, and safety. As an Operations Manager at FedEx Ground, I oversee the daily operations within each facility, manage processes to reduce and distribute products and services, and lead a team of Package Handlers and administrative employees. I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, having served as a Navy Corpsman and a Behavioral Health Specialist in the past. In my current role, I leverage my skills in manufacturing process improvement, data analysis, and communication to ensure FedEx Ground delivers the best service possible to its customers. I monitor and evaluate the performance of the package sortation and administrative processes, identify and implement best practices, and troubleshoot any issues or challenges. I also collaborate with other managers, staff, and external partners to coordinate and optimize the operations across the network. Additionally, I support the development and training of my team members, provide feedback and recognition, and foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
