About Robert Lucas

I am currently the Operations Officer for the Commander's Protocol, United States Space Command. In this role I ensure the protocol office is properly executing visits to the command by distinguished military and civilian personnel. I also manage the planning and execution of command level events: conferences and military ceremonies. Prior to that role I was the Officer in Charge of Ramp Services Flight for the 56th Aerial Port Squadron, March ARB. I led a flight of 37 Airmen in the safe and efficient loading of military and civilian Aircraft. Before joining the Air Force Reserve I spent eleven years as an Operations Manager in the Port of Los Angles and Long Beach. I have experience in vessel, rail, yard, strategic planning, and automation operations. I was charged with managing members of the long shoreman's union and ensuring they were effectively and properly moving the containerized cargo. I have an MBA from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science in Business from Trinity University, San Antonio Texas.
