Currently working as a Clinical Microbiologist with the Public Health Microbiology Laboratory in St. John's, NL, CAN and cross appointed to Memorial University of Newfoundland as an Assistant Professor in Laboratory Medicine. Professional Summary- Passionate and enthusiastic Clinical Microbiologist with 8+ years’ experience, with proficiency in a wide array of techniques spanning the total testing process of laboratory medicine - Expertise in total lab automation, antimicrobial resistance testing, validation and quality management, serological instrumentation, big data epidemiology and mass spectrometry utilization - Actively involved in teaching, mentoring, and improving laboratory technologist morale - Continual involvement in research with focus on antimicrobial trends and molecular detection methodologies - Ongoing participation in numerous scientific committees including (but not limited to): CPHLN (COVID-19 Pandemic Diagnostics Investigation Team), Provincial Public Health Operations, CANWARD - Active member of AMMI-CACMID, NMG and ASM, attending and presenting at annual national conferences (as able)
