About Robert Manshack

In a Nutshell: I'm a biologist and graphic designer by education, a community service provider for special education students and a freelance design business owner by trade, and a martial artist by passion. The Greater Good: I have spent the past 20 years of my professional career working in secondary education and community service positions, first as a science teacher and, most recently, as Program Director and Professional Development Specialist for high school teachers across Illinois. Through these positions, I have been able to gain and hone critical communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as interpersonal skills that allow me to quickly develop a working rapport with a diverse range of youth and adults in various situations. Additionally, my experience as a Program Director has fostered the development of managerial, supervisory and analytical skills that have given me an even more valuable tool – adaptability. Creative Outlet: I have been providing graphic and web design services to community agencies and small businesses as a freelance designer for 18 years. My main focus has been on developing brand identity, collateral print materials, food/ beverage packaging and website design. Additionally, I've been practicing Chinese martial arts for nearly a decade to link body, mind and spirit as a means of finding life balance and a path to personal enlightenment.
