About Robert Marktl

After studying biology at the University of Vienna, followed by 4 years as research assistant at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU Vienna), I completed the Trainee-Program at Raiffeisen Ware Austria AG (2004-06) and started with the following responsibilities in the department of controlling: • Division-Controller for Property Management and the Central Warehouse in Traun • Data Processing and Reporting with SAP BW and in-house CRM systems In 2010, subsequently to professional reorientation and parental leave, I started as IT-Manager at Assign Clinical Research GmbH. Since then my job focuses are: • Implementation of a database-driven platform for CRM, Project Management, Business Development, Site Management and Invoicing • Design and evaluation of online reports (MS Reporting Services) 2014 I moved to Finom Management GmbH, with the same responsibilities together with additional tasks • Validiation and testing of an in-house developed software for Project Management, Business Development, Site Management, Invoicing and Timerecording • Design and distribution of Reports with MS Reporting Services In October 2016 I rejoined Celerion Austria GmbH as an On-Site Support Technician with the responsibilities for the offices in Vienna and Berlin. The major projects since then have been: • Support of the local IT infrastructure with domain controller, firewall, laptops and docking stations as well as cell phones and the associated MDM and MFA applications. • First and second level support using the Service Now ticket system together with Teamviewer • Upgrading the email environment from Outlook 2016 • Implementation of Office 365 and transition from Webex and Skype for Business to Microsoft Teams - application testing and employee training. • Implementation of an Email security system and validation of reported phishing emails (PhishER by KnowBe4) • Implementation of MS Intune replacing SCCM In June 2024, I had the opportunity to take on a new position at European Trans Energy GmbH, which led to my departure from Celerion. My experience and skills in Application Management, Project Management, and IT Infrastructure are demonstrated through my recent projects. These included leading the project to transition an inventory list into a database-driven application and restructuring the IT documentation by rebuilding it in Atlassian Confluence. Additionally, I gained extensive experience in audit preparation (ISO 27001:2022) and the implementation of upgrades for the construction project software iTWO by RIB.
