I made a lot of mistakes in trying to get my business off to a start. The problem I had was trying to figure things out on my own before I held my hands up and realized I just needed a bit of guidance. Because I was committed to making it work, I sought out a business mentor recently in the summer. I learnt a lot about myself and how to level up my marketing game. It was an eye-opener and I walked away armed with the knowledge I needed to better position myself and my offer. As fate would have it, I also landed a part time marketing assistant position at Gazelle book services, Lancaster back in November. In my current role I'm responsible for a myriad of tasks from managing email newsletter campaigns to social media marketing. The role has given me an introduction to the world of marketing in a commercial environment. Although the industry I work in is different to the fitness and health industry, the principles of marketing and the use of copywriting techniques remains the same. After a hiatus and regrouping myself anew. I've pivoted my business model to focus more on setting up, managing and devising strategies for your email marketing campaigns. In a nutshell, managing your list if your a small/medium sized gym owner or personal trainer.
