About Robert Mazza

Born in Chicago and raised in Phoenix, I joined the Marine Corps right after high school. I felt that becoming a Marine was going to be a great start to my adult life and as I walked into the recruiting office at the mall, I had the pleasure to meet my recruiter Sergeant Sean Trigg. After taking the ASVAB and discussing which jobs I would be interested in, I decided to become an aircraft mechanic. When I was growing up I helped my dad work on trucks regularly and various projects around the house. I figured it would be exciting to work on aircraft and I couldn’t be happier! During my career there’s been so many rewarding challenges that gave me invaluable experiences to be who I am and what I’m capable of today. I started as a mechanic in the work center, became an inspector, ran programs in Quality Assurance, and then back at my first squadron, I became the supervisor of Maintenance Control. After I retired from the Marines, I spent a year working on Kuwait’s Air Force KC-130J fleet. My keys to success are to be humble, meticulous, competitive, passionate, available, calm, focused, organized, and most importantly - RELIABLE. If you truly respect and take care of the people who are working their asses off for you, their success will be your most rewarding accomplishment and everything else falls into place.
