About Robert McGonagle

I am a highly motivated individual with leadership experience and a wide variety of different academic disciplines including criminal justice, forestry, fire ecology, geospatial science, human dimensions, and wildlife ecology and management. I graduated from Lamar University with my M.S. in Geospatial Sciences where I worked on original research developing new techniques for remote fine dead fuel moisture and microclimatic variable acquisition, wildland urban interface delineation, and wildfire ignition prediction. The ignition prediction research yielded positive results and emphasized the need to pattern human behavior for many different types of incident prediction. Currently, I am writing multiple manuscripts for different publications that entail the various breakthroughs of my research. I served for over 9 years in emergency services including firefighting and emergency medical operations which afforded me several experiences and skills that have helped mold me as a person. Aside from those certifications, I’m also accredited as an Associate Wildlife Biologist and a Certified Interpretive Guide.
